Stained glass windows, some of the most powerful and splendid art done during the Gothic and Renaissance periods. Used to filter light into Cathedrals, they also gave a narrative to the faithful entering them. The artists used vitreous paints which, once fired, would permanently color the glass surface.
Very beautiful windows collected here, favorites are #1-8-11 (oh, look Dan, your favorite pet is in it!)-12-22!

a bonus cat I included it anyway.
The week I met my future wife I expressed vehemently to her my view on cats, which is that they should all be bagged in gunny sacks, taken out beyond the three-mile limit, and dumped. I was unaware that she owned five cats.
The next year we were married and she ended up with one husband, two children, two dogs and zero cats. Forty-three years later we remain happily married.
